The property was lovely, very clean and welcoming. Beds were extremely comfortable. All mod cons with extra touches. Very well appointed for touring the surrounding the areas. Great views from every window.
Lovely house, great location to walk into town and a good place to stay if exploring the area. House is beautifully furnished and has excellent facilities (air fryer/ coffee machine / cot / high chair). Would definitely recommend.
Gorgeous old fishermans cottage in the beautiful village of Newton, we were blown away by the views and being able to sit on the deck right beside the loch was wonderful. Lovely little village, the cottage was very pretty and comfortable with everything you need. We will be back, thank you Amanda.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. It was spotlessly clean, peaceful, and very comfortable, everything we were looking for. The location was quiet and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind.
Amanda made everything easy from check-in to check-out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Ground floor room was so helpful since my in laws were not big fan of stairs.
We would love to return in the future!
Our second stay in this lovely property with stunning loch views – plan to return!
Country cottage style interior is well suited to the cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Good having downstairs toilet. Lovely location close to the loch and surrounded by lovely grounds.
The property was immaculate and very comfortable, in a great location with beautiful views out to the loch. Very dog friendly with an enclosed garden.
Fantastic location and bungalow with quality fixtures and fitting and everything you need …. some small to large items they were there … so many great places to go to .. close walks … driveable to Glencoe and Loch Lomond … and Amanda so helpful and fast with any communication … great stay
The house was amazing, had all the amenities we needed for a memorable weekend. Short walk to town and all the surrounding walks. Weather was uncharacteristically sunny😂, which made the stay even more perfect.
We had a lovely few days staying in Oaktree Cottage. A wonderful position, overlooking the loch and with such beautiful views that we hardly noticed the quiet road infront. The cottage is very comfortable and well equiped, so eating in is a pleasure. Lovey comfortabel bed and so peaceful at night.
The village store, for essentials is a 15/20 minute walk away and Creggans Inn around 35/40 minutes walk. Ideally placed for touring the area and walking locally. Note Pucks Glen closed for walkers at time of writing but other routes open in the area.
Highly recommended – thank you!
Amanda was a delight to deal with and the house was perfect in terms of the quality of the inside; fixtures and fittings and its location. I’m sure we will be back.
We spent a week in this lovely little cottage and felt so at home. Beautiful views from every window and easy access to the loch. It was a great base to explore from and we had everything we needed to cook. Very peaceful, would definitely return!
The cottage is in a peaceful small village and is perfect for those looking to get away and just relax. it has all the utilities you need and if the weather is good you can relax in the garden.
We cycled along to Otter Ferry for lunch but you could also go the other way to the village of Strachur which has a couple of pubs.
We also had days out in Inverary, Tarbert, Balloch, Balmaha and Oban which are easy to get to.
For the Munro Baggers, there are a good few to hand.
Amanda kept us informed and we were very happy with our stay.
We enjoyed a relaxed and peaceful stay at Loudon Cottage. A great base location for day trips out and about exploring the nearby surroundings.
A very pleasant and quiet home, located in a sea of greenery. We appreciated the comfort and the responsiveness of our hostess.
Wonderful location, peaceful, amazing places to visit, well thought out cottage, great hosts.
We’ve just had an incredible week in The Moorings!
Before we arrived, Amanda was in regular contact with details on how to get there, things to do and recommendations,
The information provided on arrival was informative and made it clear the passion Amanda has for sharing her little piece of Scotland with the world! ❤️🏴
It was so peaceful and relaxing and very comfortable-we all slept SO well!
Will definitely return.
We had a lovely stay.
Beautiful part of Scotland
The house was perfect clean, well equipped very comfortable beds ,great shower.
Lovely garden for our 2 small dogs.
We would definitely recommend one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in.
A warm and welcoming house with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
The children especially enjoyed the garden.
We would love to come back again.
This is a stunning Airbnb. Would highly recommend. So beautifully decorated and thoughtfully put together. A real home from home. The kitchen is especially beautiful.
This was our first visit to Scotland with our 4 boys, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to introduce the beautiful surroundings of Scotland. The house was in a fantastic spot, the boys loved throwing stones on the beach and collecting shells. The house it self was perfect for us with everything we needed and was so beautiful. It was lovely and clean with lots of amenities, perfect as a home from home. We will be back, it was a perfect way to start our adventures for 2026 with our 4 energetic boys. Thank you, highly recommend to anyone xx
A great location if you are after peace and quiet with a lovely view of a loch.
Masses of space. and a real feeling of a home away from home. Large rooms, comfortable beds, and great amenities.
Maybe the best equipped kitchen of any Airbnb I have stayed in, glasses and pans for all occasions.
Amanda provided lots of information about the area, and was proactive in making sure we had all we needed following checking in.
The property was spacious, well equipped and so clean! Curling up on the window seats overlooking the loch with a good book was the best!
Loved our stay here, very peaceful location ! Beautiful place and one of the best equipped we’ve stayed in 😊
Ideal location to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. Outstanding views across the Loch. Accommodation was very clean and tidy and just right for us and our dog. Lots of walks nearby.
Not to far away from Inveraray (great shop there for Whiskey lovers and eating) and Dunoon for the shopping essentials.
Very generous welcome back.
Had a great week at this beautiful property. Extremely cosy and had everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable week. There are lots of walks and local hikes within easy access to the property and some lovely local restaurants although a few were closed for the winter months but that didn’t spoil the experience. The peaceful location and the comfort of the accommodation were the highlights of the trip.
Highly recommend Amanda’s cottage. We had a great week (2 adults, 2 young children). The cottage is cosy, warm and well decorated. Everything you could need, including generous amount of fuel. Beds were extremely comfortable. The loch is close and so beautiful. Swam every day. The village is lovely and quiet. Kids had an amazing time! Stay here if you can!
We had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful
Oaktree Cottage. Both the cottage and the location were absolutely stunning. Really cosy and comfortable property with the most exquisite view of Loch Fyne. Very attentive host, 10 out of 10.
Carmona Bank is a wonderful property. Fantastic kitchen, dining area, really well equipped. Extra freezer was a lifesaver! Perfect for our family Christmas holiday. Amanda had a lovely Christmas tree decorated for our arrival, which was a nice touch. The beautiful views were an unexpected bonus! We will definitely be booking again.
10/10
The house is beautiful. Spacious, clean, the highest of quality spec. Eight of us were accommodated in comfort and style. Knock out views for our family members from abroad. Amanda was amazing. The perfect host.
It was so good my wife now wants to redesign our house.
We had a great stay and really enjoyed our time here. The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Communication with the host was straightforward and helpful throughout, and check-in was easy. The location worked well for us and the space suited our group perfectly. We’d happily stay again and would recommend it to others.
We stayed at Tanamuir for a week. There were 4 adults and one dog in our party.
The house was very spacious for us and it was a real home from home which made our stay fabulous.
There was great information provided by Amanda on things to do in the local area and it was a great base for us to go and explore the surrounding countryside.
Loved the log burner for keeping the house cosy.
We would happily recommend staying at Tanamuir and if we come back to this area , it will be our number one choice.
Amanda was a great host and provided clear and useful information plus was super pro-active in responding to questions and queries all the way through the process.
Lovely place tucked away location, what 3 words provided very handy when arriving in after dark
Peaceful comfortable place to stay its worth getting a main shop done in Dumbarton on route. Recommended and would stay again
Wow, we loved our stay here. Amanda was a very friendly and helpful host, giving us recommendations of local things to do/ places to eat and clear instructions on how to find the house.
The house itself was great, it was very clean, quiet and the views are just amazing. We would definitely stay again, we didn’t want to leave! I’d recommend Amanda’s place to anyone and we’d love to stay again. We had no issues, but I’m confident if we did, they would have been sorted quickly.
We had a very relaxing time at Amanda’s and Jaimes place. It was everything we hoped it would be.
Instructions to the house were perfect and our 1 year old retriever had a ball! A great place to see the Argyll and Bute area.
Great open fire and endless supply of logs gave way for lovely cosy evenings.
We would totally recommend the Moorings for a quiet relaxing get away.
Absolutely beautiful place – in terms of the home and location. Peaceful, quiet location, and the house itself was absolutely gorgeous – so beautifully decorated and homely, with absolutely everything you need. Absolutely loved it 🙂
We loved Tanamuir, it was perfect for our four generation getaway. You thought of all the little extras and more, thanks for being a great host Amanda. We can’t wait to return!
The cottage was perfect for a peaceful holiday by the Loch. The views from the cottage were breath taking, you could sit and watch from the living room the whole day.
The host has maintained the property exceptionally well and very well thought thorough (in terms of what accessories will be required for a family on tour, including stuff like salt, pepper, tea, coffee choices etc)
The instructions were very handy, to locate shops and restaurants around the place.
Over-all, the stay was perfect, we stayed for 5 nights and would definitely return.
Had a wonderful week away at the cottage. The views from the house were something else! One of the best views I’ve seen at a place we’ve stayed. Saw a seal and some porpoise on our first day! The local loch beach was beautiful in the sunshine and our little boys really enjoyed exploring. It was a haven to come back to after a day out and for watching the sunset and sunrise. We were really lucky with the weather. So many great places to explore in the area as well. We are a family of 4 and it felt the right size to accommodate us. It’s well equipped and clean and is in some of the prettiest surroundings I’ve seen. I sat on the beach one evening looking at the sunset and it was heaven. Thank you so much for a memorable and special holiday.
We absolutely loved The Moorings and it totally lived up to our expectations, we definitely want to come again. Stunning location and super peaceful. Amanda and Jamie are great hosts. They live close by and are on hand and proactive without ever intruding. They also did us a great favour which was truly appreciated and way above what you could reasonable expect from a host. Can’t praise them highly enough and can’t wait to go back sometime. Thank you for everything.
Wow what a place! I would definitely stay here again – beautiful location and views, house was extremely comfortable and well looked after.
This is a picture perfect property. It’s full of character, cosy and so utterly peaceful. It felt like home immediately. It’s full of lovely touches with the decor.
It’s off the beaten track, but Amanda gave spot on instructions, so we got there with no wrong turns. It felt incredibly safe with no passing traffic or people (other than the friendly neighbour round the corner).
Amanda couldn’t have been more helpful from the moment we booked, and she took the time to check in on us after arrival. She was an excellent host who genuinely seemed to want us to have a good time.
I can’t fault this property or host. 10/10 all the way
What an incredibly beautiful place this is. We felt completely at home in An Airigh, a great cottage. View of the lake, the mountains, so beautiful. The cottage is fully equipped and extremely comfortable. We’ve had a great week, wonderful!
Communication with Amanda went smoothly and was extremely friendly. This cottage is absolutely recommended, one of the most beautiful aribnb’s I’ve ever been to.
The area is beautiful, you can hike wonderfully, there is plenty to see and do. In short, go this way: book this cottage!
We’ve just spent 10 wonderful days in this gorgeous cottage overlooking Loch Fyne. The area is stunning with so much to offer we can’t wait to come back. There just wasn’t time to try out all the seafood places in the area!
The cottage is really well equipped with everything you could possibly want. Amanda’s helpful information and recommendations were brilliant. She told us in advance about the unexpected building going on nearby but it was not a problem at all as we were out mainly during the day anyway.
All in all it was one of the very best holidays we’ve had in Scotland – and we’ve had quite a few! And all that in spite of the car breaking down on our last day and the AA, the builders and Amanda all coming to our rescue!!
Thanks for everything Amanda. We’ll be back!!
A perfect getaway and stunning location if you seek peace and quiet.
Stunning location, amazing views and walks, total peace and quiet. Loads to do and see nearby. Hosts are always on hand if needed. Friendly and welcoming neighbours too. A cosy cottage with everything you need. Plenty of info provided about the local area by the hosts – which was very helpful.
We’ve just returned from a fantastic week staying at An Airigh, a very cosy, warm and comfortable eco friendly house and wow…what an amazing house to stay in! The house is in a perfect, peaceful location with stunning views over Loch Fyne, and within easy reach (by car) of the Arrochar Alps for some great hikes in the mountains and hills. Everything inside the house has been well thought about from the decoration to the beds, bedding, showers, furniture and even the books and maps available to read and use. The well equipped kitchen provided everything we needed and more! No corners have been cut. Amanda was responsive and friendly in her communication. I would thoroughly recommend An Airigh and wished we could have stayed longer.
Spacious accommodation, nicely decorated and well equipped. Two lounge areas. Very clean and good for dogs. Lovely balcony overlooking the Loch. Plenty logs for wood burner. Space for 3 or 4 cars. Also has an electric car charging point.
Lovely house. Felt so homely. Spotlessly clean. Log fire was very cosy. Everything you needed at the property. Fantastic views. Amanda was very helpful with any information. Would 100% recommend this place!
We have just returned from a wonderful week at Tanamuir, one of the best Airbnbs we have ever stayed in! The location is stunning—breathtaking views over Loch Fyne and perfect access to castles, lochs, and towns. Opening the curtains to the Loch each morning and sitting by the fire will be a treasured memory. The house was exceptionally well-equipped. Unlike some Airbnbs, the kitchen had so many plates, glasses, and cookware. Thoughtful touches like numerous dishwasher tablets were much appreciated. The welcome hamper with local treats was fantastic, and even dog towels and bowls were provided! There was simply nothing we needed that wasn’t already provided during our stay. The house was warm, cozy, and more spacious than expected. There was ample room for family time, and the kids loved the upstairs TV lounge. The boot room was perfect after hikes. Beautifully decorated, the cottage felt stylish yet homely. Amanda was a fantastic host—responsive, helpful, and welcoming. Thank you
A beautiful holiday stay – incredibly warm and cosy with lovely views as well as being surrounded by peace. An Airigh was so well equipped, it had everything we needed for an excellent stay. We all loved it here.
An absolutely beautiful cottage in a stunning, tranquil location overlooking the loch. The cottage has been tastefully modernised without losing its character – powerful showers, comfy beds and tons of games, puzzles and books so our two young daughters were kept entertained. The log burner made it so cosy in the evenings. We were really grateful for all the local recommendations too. A car definitely needed but plenty to do and see in the local area. We would highly recommend and hope to come back one day!
Just back from a long weekend, what a beautiful place. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed. Nice little basket of goodies on arrival. Lovely bedding and towels, and luxury toiletries. Lots of space for 4 and a big dog! Amanda went the extra mile to ensure we wanted for nothing! Would definitely recommend. Thank you.
We rented The Cottage at Leachd for a 4 night family get together in Oct 2023. We really couldn’t fault the accommodation – it was in a delightful location, clean and modern inside, with all the equipment and appliances we needed. The directions to the property and the check-in instructions were all clear, and Stuart the host was very helpful and was quick to respond to any queries we had. We would definitely recommend The Cottage to others, and would very much like to visit again in the future.
I really cannot fault the cottage in any way. Firstly, it has absolutely amazing views in a really peaceful environment. It is spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. It is very well equipped and all the equipment and furniture is of a very high quality. Stuart, the host, is extremely helpful and was very proactive in sorting out the one problem we had with keys, which was our fault anyway! I thoroughly recommend the Cottage if you are looking for a comfortable, peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings. There is a shop and pub 3-4 miles away, so not completely isolated.
We booked Tanamuir for a family fortnight holiday; Myself, my wife, our 2 sons and their partners, our 1 year grandson and their daft Alsatian Rambo. Throughout the whole process Amanda has been brilliant; offering advice and guidance, and answering our questions and requests (baby chair? No problems! New mop head? No problem! Asked and done, so so pleasing!). We researched Tanamuir thoroughly using maps, earth and street view and got exactly what we expected and could not be more happy! Our requirements were for 3 double bedrooms and pet friendly. We had some areas of contention where I wanted seclusion, remoteness, dark skies, no noise, but everyone else wanted activities, pubs, restaurants, shopping etc and I think Tanamuir is well positioned to give both. The nearest pub is an easy stagger, the loch is right over the road for canoeing and swimming, the stars on a clear night are phenomenal and shopping is easily reached by car. Last note: midges were minimal, RESULT!
We loved our stay in this beautiful wee house in a tiny lochside hamlet. The house is set a little back from Loch Fyne with the large windows offering good views onto the loch and the hills behind – excellent for drinks at sunset. A short walk down to the public jetty at the end of which there is a picnic table, and a ladder to climb out at the end if it’s warm and calm enough to swim in the loch. Pre-arrival instructions and recommendations were excellent, with good local restaurant choices and instructions for getting food for the house. Queries were very quickly answered. Check-in by key-box was straightforward. The house was squeaky clean and delightfully-decorated and furnished. The kitchen was very well-equipped, and we were pleased to find the washing machine is actually a combined washer-dryer – which those who are coming for hill-walking might be grateful for if they get soaked and muddy! The bedding was very cosy and comfortable. We certainly recommend!
The Moorings was everything it said on the label and more! If you are looking for a break away from the hustle and bustle then this is the place to stay. Such a tranquil setting and the view over Loch Fyne was stunning. We loved our time staying at the cottage and would have stayed longer had we not been moving on further up to the Highlands. Amanda was the perfect host with providing very detailed instructions on how to get there as The Moorings is in a remote place and would have been difficult to find. The cottage was well equipped and cosy. Just enough room and everything for what we needed. A welcoming vase of cut flowers and a delicious homemade cake greeted us on arrival. Such a lovely thing to do and receive after a long journey. After a day out walking and dinner at the Creggans Inn we came back to light a log fire. Perfect. If we ever plan on going back to that part of Scotland we would definitely stay at The Moorings again.
We had a great stay in this lovely and clean cottage, ideally located in a quiet and friendly area on the loch. There is everything you need in the cottage, including a nice welcome gesture. Would definitely recommend!
